MetLife Stadium Rules
In accordance with Federal Law and to ensure maximum safety and security of everyone at the MetLife Stadium, the venue operates several strict company policies. Please be sure to observe these closely during your stay – compliance will help ensure the best possible game experience for you and other guests.
Alcohol
Any guest who appears to be 40 years of age or younger will be required to provide ID before alcohol is sold. Valid forms of ID include a United States Driver’s License, US State or Federal Government issued ID, US Passport and/or Passport Card, U.S. Military ID, or a Foreign Passport with a completed NJABC Age Representation Form. Guests from other countries MUST show a valid passport – driving licences from other countries cannot be accepted as valid forms of ID.
Guests may only purchase or carry up to two alcoholic beverages at a time. Guests who appear to be drunk or intoxicated may not be permitted entry, or asked to leave the stadium.
Section 224B is completely alcohol-free during New York Jets games. Further events may be partially or completely alcohol-free.
Bag Search
All guests carrying bags of a permissible size will be subject to a bag search upon entry to the venue. For bags that exceed the permissible size, guests may return the item to their vehicle or to utilise a Bag Check Facility (located outside each open gate), for a $5 fee. As these additional steps can take extra time, guests are recommended to carry as few extra items on them as they can afford.
Permitted Items
Clear bags that are 12” x 6” x 12” or less in size, which may contain food, and purses/handbags that are 4.5” x 6.5” or less are permitted entry into the venue (one bag of each type per person). Sealed plastic bottles of water or soft drinks that are 20 oz. or less in size are also permitted. Still-photography cameras with a lens that is 6″ or less in length may be brought into the venue, along with jackets or blankets that are carried by hand.
Tailgating
Tailgating is allowed in the parking lots. All tailgating items must be set up in front of or behind one vehicle. Roadways and additional spaces must be kept clear for other visitors and emergency vehicles.
Most importantly, when enjoying any show or event at MetLife Stadium please follow the Golden Rule: Be respectful and mindful of the others around you.
